Are these viable replacements for oats?

Can the Quaker Old Fashioned Grits be a substitute to the oats? I am sick of the oats. Also, I bought some organic wheat pancakes.. are those okay? I also found some Oatmeal cookies with only 2g sugar and 3g fat per cookie(would never eat more than 1-2 per day) ...are those alright?

    Thanks-matt

Grits I would think are high Gi(fast burning=sugar) I could be wrong. Ever try steel cut oats? Very good and taste different than regualr oats...much better
How about Fiber One or Uncle Sam Cereal?

I would avoid all cookies....oatmeal cookies are NOT a substitue for oats

what leslie said. grits are made from corn, higher GI. if you dont mind cooking, then your can try buckwheat or millet as alternatives to oats. or flavor oats with splenda or cinnamon. add natural peanut butter to them (make sure your diet still adds up of course). no cookies!

i dont trust fiber one for whatever reason. prolly 'cuz it comes in a cereal box heh
