True, you don't want fat after you train, after you workout you want super fast absorbtion of protein and simple carbs. Your fat intake should be spread throught the rest of the day evenly througout your meals.
I read somewhere in these forums that I should avoid fat after my workout. Is this true? I'm currently trying to consume about 50g of fat per day from sources like walnuts and sunflower seeds. When is the best time to consume them and how much?

Depends on what kind of diet your doing. If you are following a low carb plan like one of DP & w8lifters, then you want to include fat in your post workout meal because its considered as part of your meals. If you are not following low carb then don't worry about the fat in PWO.

Chuck Norris once lost his keys and couldn't remember where he put them. So he tortured himself for half an hour until he gave up their location.
i went to my local health store to get some flaxseed oil
but they only had these capsules... fsc - linseed oil 1000mg caps (i'm told linseed is the same as flaxseed)
recommend dosage is 1-5 caps per day
i was thinking of taking 3 on my cut (morning, afternoon, evening), and then maybe just taking 1 on my bulk (if it will be any use, if not i'll cut em out)
is this cool to help boost my EFA intake?
i also usually have some canned salmon at least every other day, and a snack on a few peanuts
What does the rest of your diet look like? That not enough EFA's IMO!![]()

well i've already posted it on here so i ain't gonna post it again, its a decent balanced diet
i'm sure i get good fats from other sources....
jodi i saw walnut oil in a list of foods in a sticky thread, i got some, shall i just add a bit to my salads? can i use low fat salad dressings? i can eat salad without any dressings but if a dressing or some oil will benefit me i'd use it
also dairy products.... (fat free yogurts in particular) good or bad?
thanks
Yes you can add that or olive oil to your salads. Low fat dressings are usually loaded with sugar. Thats how they keep somewhat of a flavor to them without the fat. Oil & Vinegar is a much better choice.Originally posted by young d
