Frequent exercise and low carb diet. Read this forum front to back, you'll have no problem getting all your questions answered.

    Absolutely not.

When you don't eat, your body will go into starvation mode. The best mthod is to eat lots of protein and drop the carbs. That way your body will have less to store as fat and have to burn body fat. After about three days your system will run out of stored carbs, then it'll use your body fat as fuel to move the protein into your muscles. The result: Lose fat, gain muscle. It's surefire. Pick up the Atkins Diet book at any Walmart, Kmart, etc.

Your system will burn fat, but it will also burn muscle. You might as well use muscle to burn the fat. Just the existance of muscle in your body will burn fat. So the most obvious thing to do is add muscle. More muscle=less fat.

I disagree, the Atkins/low carb method is only a short term quick fix, good way to lose muscle.

atkins diet is asking for diaster. Start 40/40/20 caloires at 12 time body weight and add cardio 3-4 times a week first thing in morning with weight training

meals should be 1:1 protein to carbs for first 5 meals then cut tamper to fiberous carbs for may be last 2 meals and just go protein and veggies. Do this for 4 weeks and then reasses and drop carbs by 10-15% and then slowly every 2 weeks untill. SLow and gradual decrease is best approach. THis si the approach i will most likely make next year. Slowly walk my caloires down little by little ( my protein with stay at around 2 grams per lbs of body weight) make adjustments in just protein and fats . For you protein intake should be about 270 just as a cushion and carbs may be 200 grams a day with about 50-60 grams fat manly from EFAS. Hope this helps

Read the sticky at the top of the forum called Guide to Dieting.

I agree Atkins is not the way to go, neither is starvation mode. You need to think about your healthy and overall appearance and neither of those ways will get you there.

Read the sticky and it will help you understand a bit about proper nutrition and eating right to lose bodyfat.

The Atkins Diet is okay for people with serendity live and don't work out. Low Carbs diets like CKD or a TKD are exfcellent ways to lose weight while maintaining muscle mass.
