Angry oh the guilt!

yesterday i don't know what i was thinking... after months of eating fairly clean, i binged!

BIG TIME

first meal started off ok, then it all went to hell from there...

ice cream
a pizza pop
a couple yogurts
about 5 chocolate covered granola bars
3 hot dogs with ketchup, mustard and mayo
4 juice boxes
a can of zoodles with 2 slices of buttered up bread for dinner
a couple beers out at my buddies place
and about 3 bowls of cereal

what was i thinking?!

i feel soooo guilty for doing it today... how much damage do you think was actually done? :P

I ate that much in my first few hours of cheating. I can do alot worse than that

Don't worry about, you probably needed a break anyway. Your best to schedule a cheat every few weeks to prevent this from happening but when it does, just wake and start clean and you'll be fine. You didn't do any damage

hey though your binge wasnt that bad,,, i used to tear up a gallon of that oreo cookie ice cream junk in one sitting, whole thing of pringles for meal 2,, 10 pack of snickers meal 3,, 2 boxes of cereal spread throughout the day, gallon of milk and constantly snack, the funny thing is before id binge at every meal id make myself eat a healthy meal before "to try and prevent it" and then i end up binging,, so all that did was add extra calories

The best part about a cheat is this:

If you are fat and work out for a day, you won't see much change. If you are fit and eat bad one day, you won't see much change.

If binging is your problem then why not give yourself a break. Obviously, if you eat clean all the time and then eat something that is going to set off cravings (usually something sugary) you are more often then not boing to binge because your body is not used to eating that type of food and automatically wants more. Unless you are trying to compete, in my opinion, there is no need to beat yourself up. Every three or four days give yourself a mental break and eat something that you are craving, in the evening before bed, after all of your clean meals have been eaten. That way, even if you wanted to binge you couldn;t because you are just going to go to bed. This will keep you from going on long binges and will help you out mentally. If you are dieting and really nervous about this simpley figure out how many cals whatever it is you want to eat and then take something out earlier in the day, or lower the cals of each of your meals a little bit, to acomodate this "cheat".

P-Funk, good post. I am joining the members too as having a hell day on sunday. Man when that Ice Cream and Peanut Butter(not Natty) it was all over. 4000cals pffft. I think I did that just over the first meal.

I don't crave food and sugery food. I just sometimes get possesed by something and feel that I am doing this for a good reason. Its funny how your mind phucks with you sometimes.
