    Protein meals

Why aren't there any protein based foods besides Tuna Fish and Protein shakes that I can keep at my desk, or are generally ready to eat?

My meals consist of the following, but I'd like to replace the Tuna fish since I'm getting kind of sick of it. Please suggest something else besides eggs.

    7am - Oatmeal, Turkey w/mayo

    10:00am - protein shake w/ natural pb

12:30pm - chicken breast, veggies, brown rice

3:30pm - TUNA w/olive oil (THE ONE THAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED)

    WORKOUT @5:00pm

6:30pm - Chicken (or other lean meat) with veggies. Also, creating and glutamine.

9:30pm - Protein shake, cottage cheese.

There usually is canned chicken but it is expensive and not very good. I am lucky to have a refrigerator here at work so I can cook up a lot of chicken on the weekends and bring it with for my meals.

I've tried the canned chicken and am not too fond of it.

We also have a refriderator in a kitchen here if needed.

I thought about making a big batch of beef jerky, but am worried about the high salt content.

Do those things work pretty well? Anyone else suggest them? It does seem like it'd make things easier.

how come you don't have any eggs in your diet?

eat eggs for breakfast, if not, cook them at night (or in the morning) and bring them to work and microwave them... i do it all the time and they taste fine...

also, cook your chicken breasts at night and just bring them to work the next day and heat them up in your microwave...

my protein intake usually looks like this:

    meal 1 - eggs/egg whites
    meal 2 - tuna
meal 3 - tuna or chicken breast
meal 4 (dinner) usually fish, chicken, turkey or hamburger
meal 5 - whey protein shake

You should also try Lean Body Gold bars, they taste awesome. I rarely eat bars unless I am on a plane and don't have access to food however I had these on my last business trip and they were great.

I agree that the tuna needs to be subsituted. Frankly, I'm really sick of eating 3 cans of it everyday. Canned Salmon is too expensive to have that much everyday. Even protein bars are expensive. Eggs make my fart and that's not pleasant for anyone.

Chicken is the best. You can bake, barbeque it, boil and shred it, use all different kinds of seasonings. Cook it up on the weekend, freeze it, and then you are set for all week.
