Fiber One Is Too Good
This stuff can't be good for you. There HAS to be something wrong with it, I keep copping out of having oat bran/bulgur/amaranth/quinoa/slow-cook oats in the morning and having this instead. When combined with 2% cottage cheese, a quarter cup of soy milk, a pack of stevia, a tablespoon of cinnamon and a tablespoon of nutmeg, this stuff is unreal. I guess what's 'wrong' with it is the nasty effects 28g of fiber (for a one-cup serving, which is what I usually have) will have on you in approximately half an hour after ingestion...
Peace. |

There is 28 grams of fiber?! Holy crap that's a lot. I thought it had like 12.

Homer: Hey! I saved your life! That egg sandwich could have killed you by cholesterol.
Lenny: Pfft, forget it, Homer. While it has been established that eggs contain cholesterol, it has not yet been proven conclusively that they actually raise the level of serum cholesterol in the human blood stream. |

14g of fiber per half cup serving, but in order to reach my starch totals for a meal right now (which would be 50g 3 times daily in order to get a gram per pound on low carb days), that would require me to eat a whopping 2 and a half cups, with additional fiber baggage of 70g...Right now I have a cup of Fiber One, a third to half a cup of some other grain, and ALA as the carb portion of my meal...
Peace. |
