Do you do have this problem too?

When you're dieting down. Do you wake up in the middle of the night to snack?

If so, what do you do to over come it? I'm taking all ideas to mind.

I usually take a glass of ice water to bed with me, that way, if I wake up, I'll just take a couple swigs and go back to sleep. Sometimes this works, then sometimes it doesn't.

If you have never experienced this, I ENVY you!!!!!!

Sometimes i'll wake up, usually early morning like at 6 (I get up @ 10) and i'm really hungry and my stomach hurts and I can't go back to sleep unless fill my stomach, so I usually eat some almonds or cashews or something and go back to bed.

Lenny: Pfft, forget it, Homer. While it has been established that eggs contain cholesterol, it has not yet been proven conclusively that they actually raise the level of serum cholesterol in the human
    blood stream.

I eat all the time in the middle of the night, whether I am hungry or not. Usually it is a small meal, like some eggs or cottage cheese. I have never noticed an effect on weight loss.

Although if you count cals, where would you put them?

What does your last meal of the day look like? If it doesnt contain enough fat- you wont make it thru.

My fiance has this habit- he and my doggie have PB every nite around 4AM

As for me, once I am out. I am out for good. I do notice I wake up earlier on high carb day though

I wake up to water the plants, thats about it, and I really wish I didn't, so I'm trying to figure out when and how much water intake I can deal with to stop this

I guess if you MUST eat in the middle of the night have some whey protein. If you say ew or nah...then you are not really "hungry"

I hated waking up with that 'urgency' need to go water the plants..

I had to make sure I finished drinking by 0300..(I got off @ 0600)

    eating at night

Having a protien shake seems like the easiest solution, or anything that doesn't contain to much carbs. When I wake up at night I just force myself to go back sleep.

There is no greater combination in the world than dogs and peanut butter imo. A dog trying to eat a big gob of peanut butter is priceless.
