Alrighty, I read the EFA article here that was graciously posted, but I have a couple of questions that weren't answered (I believe) by the article.
#1. EFA' have tons of health benefits - that much I've always known. But why are they particularly useful to body-builders, or in terms of muscle growth? Everyone here keeps mentioning them, and I'm wondering if it's solely for health benefits, or if it really has an effect on results you'll see from the gym. Does this build muscle, or just make my body happy?
#2. When to take 'em? I trust post-workout wouldn't be a bright idea as it would slow absorbtion of a whey shake, so is pre-workout (say an hour before) best? Later in the day?
Cheers.

They won't build muscle per se, but it will make overall health better. EFA's will help increase metabolism which will burn fat. It has a domino effect. When you get health down pat, muscle building becomes easier. I don't think taking them po, will have any effect on absorption.
