    Raw egg

    Ive beent thinking of throwing a raw egg in my shake right before bed. Would this be good for the extra protien, and wouldnt the egg yellow slow the absobtion of the shake?

    Is there any more cons to this than just a little higher cholesterol?

    yeah it would slow down absorbtion due to it's fat content, but you would be risking Salmonella poisoning.

    Couldnt you just throw in a tablespoon or two of flax instead?

    Salmonella might be rare, but I'm not sure if you want that risk.

    If you are in the US it should say on the box, 5.5-6.5g protein for a full egg approximitely.

    One raw egg is around 8 grams of protien... [ racoon02 ]

    I suggest you buy just egg whites ( they're in a carton ) . You can find them in the grocery store.
