    Smile need help weight loss

my name is carla i am 29 years old. I am asking anyone with nutrition experience to help me loose weight. I am sad and tired of listening different people tell me i have a pretty face but i have to loose weight. I have asked for help before and have been fooled and played with. I also dont have money so eatign 4 to 6 meals is a problem and so is buying shake powders etc... I am asking a female trainers or nutritionsit to help me. I am very deppressed with my body since i have lost my femenine shape.
I am looking for not building muscle, or getting big i just want to loose fat, thats it. Please help me. A routine, day what to eat etc... would help me. Also if it can be done in two meals a day it would be great since i have no time to cook or money for so much food.

    Please help me..

    Carla.
    Thank you.

Nobody here will be able to help you if your only eating 2 meals a day and not exercising. You will not lose fat you will lose weight and that is all. If your willing to eat 4-5 times a day and at least do some sort of exercise then we can help, other than that I'm sorry, I cannot help you.

    Hello Carla

Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience. I know what that feels like. There is hope for you. Don't give up! That's the worst you can do. Sweety, you can lose weight if you're not exercising. You may not preserve you muscle tone but you can lose the fat! You just need to eat the right foods and put the wrong ones down. This process will take you longer to reach your goals if you're not exercising but it CAN happen. It's up to you and only you!

To be honest, it doesn't cost that much more to eat 5 meals a day. They're actually small portions. If you take your 2 meals you eat during the day and divide those portions by two, you already have your 4 meals, now you just need 1 more.

Tell me, what is your day like? Do you get any physical activity in? i.e cleaning the house, mowing the grass, doing the laundry,,etc......That is a form of exercise and calories can be burned that way.

I'm here to help you as long as you know YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN MAKE THE CHANGES....You can be guided in the rignt direction YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE CHOICE.

Things i love to eat whole wheat wraps, salmon, tuna, cheese out of soy, onion , green peppers, tomatoe, all condiments, i only use olive oil, and i only drink diet coke plus lots of water, i believe i am addicted to diet soda. I also heard red pepper is great for speeding your metabolism, is that true ? the reason i said two times is not because of how much i can eat but the amount of money it will take, but i guess dividing my meals into two can be done to have 5 in total. yes, i run at nights for about 45 minutes sometimes walk.

Okay. When you say ALL condiments, are you saying you have to have them? If so, try measuring out what is recommended per serving intead of just squirting or throwing on. The diet soda shouldn't hurt anything other than it's high in sodium.

I don't know about the red pepper. All I know is if I eat'em......I better have a gallon of water by my side....wow!

Okay. I'm getting that you're on a very tight budget? Do you buy bulk foods? If no, doing that and dividing off the portions by the number of meals might help.

SO YOU DO RUN! That's great. This is very do-able. Trust me. Send me a PM listing your goals, how long you run/jog...etc.....I'll hook you up.

I love helping people especially when someone says that it cannot be done.

I look forward to helping you

I am sorry Babsie, but obviously she took offense because it was vVERY obvious your statement was anything but general. There was no reason to add this comment. Who are you kidding here???

Carla did not state that people have told her it could not be done. Carla did not state herself that she doesnt think it could be done So who is the general someone you are refering too?

Your ending statement, or jab in better words:
I love helping people especially when someone says it cannot be done.

    was uncalled for and childish.

I know you and Jodi are not the best of buds, but for the boards sake, childish digs must be avoided.

As for Carla, of course anything is possible, but people need to be able and willing to do the key elements of a diet and exercise in order to yield any results. Jodi did not say she would not help- she said Carla must be willing to eat more than 2x a day in order to get the help and results she needs.

Hey Carla..........here's some sites for you to check out, lots of reading but so worth it, the site where you use bands for working out is good, the bands are very cheap but will work for someone that doesn't have alot of money to work with, I think I paid $14 for mine, same with an exercise ball, and a few free weights, they are all very inexpensive, but even if you can't afford them, you can still use anything in your home for weights, cans, books, anything, even if you run up & down your stairs that will help, and for your diet, you really need to eat 5 to 6 small meals a day, break it up and eat every 3 hours, even if you don't eat properly at first, just train yourself to have something every 3 hours throughout the day, just do what you can as you can do it, check out the sites and PM me if you have any questions......... And, of course, you will find tons and tons of great information here at IM, and the members that have been here for a while and the moderators are the best..........you can do searches for things you want to know, good luck honey, just remember who your doing this for, "yourself"

Like I said...IT WAS A GENERAL STATEMENT and I DON'T need to justify it to you or jodi.

Jody -- It was not a "jab" at you. Take it for what you want but it clearly was not.

Leslie -- I think Jodi can defend herself. What's wrong with you?

I'm 100% disagree with Leslie... I read through this thread and the thought never even crossed my mind that babs was referring to Jodi by that remark... when I saw Jodi's response I was like "whoa!, where did that come from?" And now after seeing Leslie's response I can't help but open my mouth...

    Let me break it down...

    Poster asked a question

Jodi gave a very simplisitc response

Babs gave a more detailed approach trying to get more info
The comment at the end in question immediately made me think about hardgainers and all the many plateaus and challenges we go through with our weight and fitness levels...

Jodi started a nice flame war by calling Babs immature

Leslie has an opinion I disagree with completely...

    I open my big mouth...
    Are you kidding me????

Normally a comment like that would not mean much- but given recent threads where Babsie and Jodi have butted heads, (which obviously you are not aware of) this time it does mean something.

I generally stay out of drama here at IM, but this time I am afraid Babsie's intention with that comment was not what she claims. But thats MY opinion.

I am further refraining from this thread and I wish Carla much luck.

Carla I am sorry I was unable to return your pm. Looks like Babsie is willing to help ya

I know Jodi and I have butted heads which was the one on Friday. Those were a matter of opinion though.

I was upset with Jodi for her mucking up my thread and STILL have not delete her posts.

While you are not going to believe this, but you are eatting WAY too little. And only 2 meals certainly is not helping your metabolism. One needs 4-6 smaller meals per day to continue to "feed the fire."

While 45%BF is high, the good news is people with much higher bf% tend lose first 10-25 rather quickly

I think you should read this sticky to understand diet a lil bit more.Otherwise you will not understand the things we tell you and may even be unnecessarily afraid to eat.

After you have read, we can work on a meal plan for you

We definitly need to gradually increase your calories!!

Carla..........you are not consuming enough calories, you need to try and bring your cals up to at least 2500 per day, then you'll have a place to cut from, you are almost exactly where I started from, except your 10 yrs younger

Carla, you don't need a schedule of meals, just know what to eat and what not to eat....... "to eat or not to eat!"
it all starts in the supermarket, buy fat free milk, cheese, etc..

drink lots of water, and do excersice, it's the most important..
