Smile Diets? What is a good book?

Well, many diet books are opposing each other making me crazy.

One said to have 10 -12 times your body weight to get the calories needed in a day.

Another said to have it in between 2000 to 2500 alternating it every two weeks.

and another just started from 1400 calories per day for two weeks then 1300 for another 2 weeks and then 1200 for another two weeks, and then back to 1400 calories for a total 12 weeks.

So, what am i suppose to do, i want to get lean and cut, and at the same time gain muscle. I dont want it to take years and years, but a 12 week plan looks great what do you think?

Have you ever read the Bowflex book it seems great?
what about the sports Health Diet Bible?

give me your best advice. Based on real experience. Thanks.

If you read different books by different authors YES you will get differnet advice, actually that goes for any subject.

You need to take what you have learned, apply it and find out what works for you, this will most definitely take some trial and error.
