I am just wondering if I eat all fruits, veggies, rice, tofu and soy protein supplement. I'm looking into this as my cutting diet and hoping to lose a LOT of weight. I'm not really looking into building mass, but hoping to retain enough muscle mass just so my metabolism doesn't go down. Here's my diet. Please Critique
11:00 A.M.-post workout: 2 scoops of soy protein and 1 canned fruits
2:00 P.M.- 1 plate full of buckwheat soba noodles
4:00 P.M.- 1 canned fruits and 1 plate full of veggies (peas and carrots)
6:00 P.M.-1 block of tofu
9:00 P.M.-before bed: 2 scoops of soy protein

Chuck Norris once lost his keys and couldn't remember where he put them. So he tortured himself for half an hour until he gave up their location.
Yes, I agree I probably will lose a lot of muscle. Perhaps if I at least substitute soy protein for whey protein it'll spare me the muscle. But can you explain why I'll get fat?
No I'm not a vegan, but went on a vegan diet for 6 months a few years ago and lost 60 lbs. Yes, that's all I'm planning to eat, but I'll probably add more portions at least on the days I lift to counteract catabolism. Soba noodles are Japanese noodles that have a brownish color compared to top ramen's yellowish color.
To eat them usually you have "Soba" sauce where you would dip the noodles into then eat the noodles. Its really good, much much healthier, no saturated fat, low fat, compared to ramen.
Soba is the best. They're buckwheat noodles, low GI, and can be eaten cold dipped in light shoyu...fried soba with seafood and tempura is even better...amazing stuff. Japanese food= my favourite food in the world, other than good ol' soul food.
You CAN do this on a vegan diet with little muscle loss. Its hard but its doable. Here are some great protein sources for you.
