    Cutting or Bulking? (newbie)

Hey all, I've read the definitions of both cutting and bulking and am a little confused. I am about 5'11" 175lbs and I'm not fat but I'm not very muscular either. I want to become more muscular and stronger (for football - high school) but not necesarily gain or lose weight. Could someone tell me which I need and perhaps point me in the right direction in terms of nutrition/workout? Thanks in advance.

For Nutrition, start by reading the Sticky at the top of this forum called Guide to Cutting, Bulking & Maint.

Also, check out the magazine articles for further nutrition and training info. Our training forum will help as well

Yeah, thanks. I see that but I still don't really understand whether or not I should be cutting or bulking.

You want to be more muscular? Then I think you should do a clean bulk and train hard.
