how much ALA do you take on carb up days?
how much while on a regular diet, will it help to prevent fat storage, by getting more carbs into the muscles? |

The usual dose is about 600mg per day split into 3 200mg doses with meals.It is purported to help drive more glucose and ammino acids into muscle cells.Some say it works,others feel nothing.If you are a larger BB...like say more than 200lbs,you can try a higher dose..maybe 900-1200mg per day,divided.

600mg is recommended. But yes, it probably varies from the size of the individual. I just say pop it back, gradually up the dose and see what works for you.
Signs that it's working I would imagine... less subcutaneous water retention, possibly increased endurance (due to more glycogen), and overall just a better "tone", for lack of a better word. I've never played around with it myself. That would be my guess however. I should really look into that. Do you take ALA straight with a shake, or do you take it in a mixed supp like with Glycemet? You may want to watch Chromium intake with Glycemet if you do. |

I think ALA is a great supp. I have 200mg with all of my carb meals, which works out to 800mg per day. I find it gives me a fuller look, and less unwanted bloating. It's also a very powerful anti-oxidant, the only water and fat soluble anti-oxidant...which is extremely great for immune function, free radical destroying, recovery and so on. I take it with all my carbs meal with a gulp of water, Sun.

I took 200mg with every meal during the carb up, which worked out to about 1500-2000mg.

I was just asking what he took it with, since some supps are coming with a mixture of ALA and chromium, stuff like that. |
