Restoring glycogen before a w/o?
BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com Here's a situation:
I work doing some sort of manual labor all day... shoveling, raking, construction, whatever. Something very physical. Would eating something sugary about an hour before a w/o later in the day help me have a better w/o? i.e., would i be able to restore enough glycogen to have a noticable difference? |

I think maybe taking in something might help just a lil bit. What I usually do is eat and apple or piece of fruit about 30-45 min before I w/o. I've been doing this for so long can't really say if it gives me a world of difference, but just a lil thing I always to before going head to head w/ the iron. Try fruit for a while and see if you notice any difference. Good luck to ya !

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

Thanks.
I just took about 75g of malto/dextro 45 mins before i hit the gym, and i felt fine. I was worried id have a kind of shitty w/o, but i had plenty of energy, and muscles didnt feel pre-exhausted. But still, here's to hoping we dont get any more snow in the northeast for a while. :P |

For the last month or so I have been drinking "Fitness Water" it's made by Gatorade, but it's kind of expensive, so I figured it would make more sense to order a powder. |

I was just wondering if taking something sugary - not necessarily a malto/dextro concotion - would help to restore glycogen faster than normal... or if i was misunderstanding the biology. |
