Ok i am 18 yrs old 6ft 195 @14% Bodyfat and i am trying to finalize a diet plan. After reading the boards for a few months now i have decided to to a 30-40-30 diet C-P-F with 2000 calories a day with six meals a day. this is my average for each meal
Each Meal Avg Intake
Calories 333
Carb 25g
Protein 33g
Fat 11g
I play college sports so i need to keep my
lean muscle mass so is there anything obviously wrong with this plan?
I'm on pretty much the same diet percentages as you at the moment but I'm about 5.6ft, 155 to 160lbs and at about 12% bodyfat. I'm looking at it as more of a maintanence diet though.
I think that you would be wise to slightly up your calories because this is quite low for somebody of your size.
Proteins are good... Fats are good... Carbs are the problem!
agreed with dodgy. if youn are exercising regularly, your playing college sports and training and such, you should up your calories to about 2200 to retain your lbm
Agreed. At 195, you would only be taking in 10 cals per pound. That is a vigorous cutting cal count. And I , at 160, am taking in more protein than youIf you are looking to maintain LBM, maintenance cals should be around 15 cals per pound. If you are looking to lose some fat, I would start at 12-13 cals per pound and see how that goes.
