I dump a protein shake in milk, make coffee, and it may be 30 minutes before I get real food in me.

Since in theory when you wake up you are probably 'starving' then I'm sure it would hurt gains, would you notice the difference, maybe well not.

Try to drink a little protein and maybe have a small apple or something light...then an hour later eat your normal meal.

Man, I eat like a horse when I wake up, seriously, it's a whole cup of oats with 1/4 cup wheat bran and one tablespoon psyllium husk, 13 egg whites, one whole egg, a cup of coffee and 2 liters of water for me EVERY morning.

    Peace.

Holy shit a breakfast like that would make the rest of my morning very unpleasant to say the least.

I usually go for a protein shake and my oatmeal every morning after I get out of the shower.

I'm cutting right now, so not really concerned about losing out on mass gains.
I do my best to focus on the task at hand, and give 100% in what I'm doing at the time. Nothing else matters except the task at hand.
