should athletes be 'in-season' and bulking?

`Sup you all. My season's starting next week. now im down at 15 year old 6'0.5(i grew!) 170lbs and around 10-11% bf. But im thinking of starting to bulk after my cutting diet since last year.(Should i or not)

But as far as my coaches and trainer(he's a professional) tell me, i should be consuming 60% carbs 35% protein and 15% fat. Now could someone please show me how to get bigger so i can bang against bigger bodies? All my carbs are clean, and i only consume sugary foods like cereal after my training session.

Size isn't everything...you should build functional strength and performance-related explosiveness and flexibility with a variety of squats, deadlifts, cleans, snatches, pulls and push presses. If your coach has knowledge of weight training he should be able to help you out. And yes, if you're active and you train intensely your carb intake should be higher than the average bodybuilding individual. About bulking, it depends on what position you play. I'm a swingman and I operate very well at 5'11 170 with 8% BF, so I'm basically your build.

    Peace.
