maltodextrin is NOT a slow burning carb. Its is used to spike your insulin after a workout. Not necessary IMO.
Lots of us just use 1/2 cup of oats mixed with out shakes with just as good results without the spike.
Ive read a lot about malodextrin, but not really sure how well it works. Anyone in here really well knowlegable on it, and anyone use it as a supplement.
I have a hard time making meals, so Im looking for a slow burning carb to put in a blender basically :P

However breaking down the oats is like a form of predigestion, so even that will play with the GI index, IMO.

IMO- In my opinion![]()
Ha! Yes, I just figured that out. I was thinking too hard after taking some of these threads in, looking for a scientific explanation to "IMO" above.
Apparently, I shouldn't play with my GI index, whatever that is. I may have already touched it. Hope I don't go blind.
thanks
