    Protein Powder help!

ok u all....since smoothie king protein smoothies have a lot of saturated fat and arent that healthy...ive decided to start making my own smoothies with my own protein powder. My question is.....What kind of protein powder do i get? tehre are so many brands. Some say 100% whey protein some say 50 grams..some say blah blah..whatever...any brands that are the best? Plus...this stuff isnt like steroids at all right? i mean are they all good... or are some bad for u? i mean since its just protein...not like steroids or anything..im sure none are harmful....ssome are just better than others...right?

lol. nah protein is not like steroids. but you still don't want to go crazy with it. its still got calories and the jury is still out on how long-term high-protein diets impact the kidney.

100% whey is good post workout and in the morning because it oxidizes really fast. its also tends to be the cheapest.

if you want protein to use throughout the day and before bed its better to get a blend of whey protein, egg protein, and casein.

100% whey is good. you want it to contain both whey concentrate and whey isolate and they filtration/isolation of the protein should always be cold treated.

optimum nutrition is a good brand.
