    Share your diet, goals, etc

I'm still in the learning process of bodybuilding and healthy eating so I'm kind of curious what other people out there are doing.

So what kind of meals are you eating?
What are you trying to do? (cut, bulk, etc.)
Where are you right now in your program? (weight, bf %, etc.)

    Thanks for sharing

I eat a high protein, low carb diet. My proteins consist primarily of protein shakes, ground turkey and beef, boneless chicken breasts, pork, and various nuts. For carbs, I stick to brown rice and green vegetables. It's a pretty simple diet and generally speaking I stick to it, although I don't care if I stray once in a while.

My goal is to just stay in shape. When Spring gets a little closer, I'll cut back on some calories to shed a few pounds. Less weight to carry makes mountain biking easier and I have an endurance race on the horizon. I am 5'11", 167.

BTW, unlike 95% of the people on this board, I am not a "bodybuilder" and I just use weight training to help me stay in shape.

I'm pretty much the same now as IAB except higher on the carbs for endurance training. I'm allergic to nuts and fish, so my choices are cut back in terms of protein to beef or fowl. I take hemp oil capsules for EFA's.

My carb choices are usually potatoes, whole wheat pasta or lots of veggies. Occasionally some natural grain bread a couple of times a week. And bagels with cream cheese from Tim Horton's some mornings!
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

My goals are to pass a PT test so that I can get into the FBI. It includes (in order of doing with 5 minutes between each event) 1 minute timed situps, 300 meter sprint, push-ups, 1.5 mile run. At this point nothing else matters (exercise wise). Sounds fairly easy but I've talked to people who say that whole groups fail the first time.

When I created my diet I didn't really worry about the percentage of carbs, protrein, and fat. I mainly wanted to eliminate sugar and caffine from my diet. while getting a good amount of protein. I ended up 50%/31%/19% carbs/protein/fat. Most of my carbs come from oatmeal (1 cup/day), whole wheat bread (4 slices/day), cream of wheat (1/3 cup per day), and milk (3 cups/day).

A lot of what you're asking can be found in the Journal section here at IM.

There are TONS of journals. Good luck!
