    Too much protein?

    Hey u all.... i recently had a blood test and im fine except i have a bit too much nitrogen in my blood...some doctors think its cause i have taken too much protein in the past few weeks. The thing is....i dont that much protein i mean comparable to most other bodybuilders...i might take in as many protein grams as my body weight inb pounds.....usually less than that.....whats the deaL?

    Standing curls: Repping 60 lbs
    (thats all i remember for now!)

    i dont have kidney or liver probs.....they are fine....but the nitrogen in my blood is too high...i dont udnerstand cause i dont take in THAT much protein

    Basically you took too much too soon

    You're body will need to increase synthesis of the enzymes that deal with excess nitrogen in the liver

    That will take about a week to increase

    I would suggest going up in protein intake slowly so that you can deal with all the nitrogen

    Although very unlikely- in cases of people starving- too much protein can kill them b/c of the ammonia that results in the blood due to the inability to deal with it
