i try to hover around the 30-40 range at every serving, that comes out to a good size omelette, or chicken breast, and also while we are on the topic of protein how much protein does everyone usually throw down, and should i include proteins from stuff like beans and grains like oatmeal in my daily totals. I am about 5'11" 155 lbs., trying to gain weight, but at a moderate pace and i get about 200-250 grams of protein a day.

I aim for 1g-1.5g of protein per pound of body weight, split into 6 meals. I dont count the proteins in oats, etc.... Thats just me though

I don't really worry about moderating protein intake unless I'm cutting. If I'm still hungry, I'll eat a bit more. I average 44g of protein per meal, though, sometimes more.

Everyone is different. There is no number or formula to figure out how much you need exactly, it is just a guess. I say just aim for 1.5-2g per lb of bw per day and divide taht number by 6 or 7 (for 6 or 7 meals that is) and shoot for that.

I've read doctors saying 45 max. in one setting, and that excess is wasted. Then there are some who claim bigger people can eat and use more, up to 75, or even 100 gms at one sitting.

I weight 212, and getting enough protein is a daily challenge. I have a protein shake by the American company MLO (www.mloproducts.com). I has "whey concentrate" but isn't whey.

I was eating Tuna out of a can until the brand disappeared off the shelves. Because of the bird flu in Saigon and no chicken and aggs, I am left with eating Beef every 3-3.5 and shakes.

This is costing me lots of money, and it's getting old. I shoot for .80 per pound usually, which is 166, but often take in over 200 grams per day.

If somoeone is on a high proteing diet they should drink a lot of water to flush the kidneys.

    (Just my .02 cents)....

That is what I was wondering. Imagine that the macros are 40/40/20, Premo55 is eating like 4000 calories.

Well my breakdowns per meal is pretty much:

    3 meals P+C
    50g P
    60g C
    5g F
    (485)x3= 1455 cals

    3 meal P+F
    50g P
    15g F
    2g C
    (343)x3= 1029 cals

    1455+1029= 2484 cals

    Peace.
