when i started in Nov 2003 that is how i started. Imade some good progress. Lost 25 lbs of fat. But now that I've been here I realize the BFL is too vague.
If you want/need a book getthe Burn the fat Feed the muscle ebook.
otherwise this site is all you need

    My opinion:

It's a good book/methodology for someone who is new to fitness and needs instruction and structure. However, for experienced people, BFL might be boring and tedious. Bill Phillips' workouts and diet are very structured and leave little to the imagination. "You have to do X number of sets, X number of reps, take exactly this much rest between sets, and eat THIS food. Repeat, repeat, repeat."

BTW, my favorite part of the BFL book is when it says to chant "Body for Life, Body for Life, Body for Life" while you are doing cardio.

I agree - I just read the book and I think he pushes the supplements the most!!!

Do you have a copy of the "burn the fat" article????

Also - can you tell me what to eat etc....... I am getting desperate!

no need for desperation....all of the tools you need are here. read the stickies at the top of the diet and nutrition area. put the time in to read and research and there are plenty of people here who will be happy to help answer any questions you have after you do.

I followed the dieting when I first started getting into fitness. I didn't take his supps at all. Even though I didn't take his supps, the diet worked well enough.

NG is correct, no need to get all desperate. All the information you need is at your finger tips.

Burn the fat feed the muscle is an excellant book....MUCH MUCH better than the BFL.

    Good luck hon

Well, I'm not new to fitness but BFL at least got me back on a steady program after making way too many excuses after having my twins. It was totally easy for me but it did get me serious....... I truly think that anyone can make it a great program. It is all what you put into it and how faithful you are to yourself. IMO
