    Good Diet?

    I'm trying to add LBM right now and lose some love handles. I am 26 yrs. old, 6 ft., and about 200lbs. My diet consists of the following. Please critique.

    6:00am - 1 whole egg, 4 egg whites
    8:45am - 1 scoop protein w/ water
    11:30am - Chicken breast, geen beans
    2:30pm - 1 scoop protein w/ water
    5:30pm - chicken breast, salad (including lettuce, olive oil dressing)
    8:00pm - 1 scoop protein w/ water

    On Wed. & Sat. I've been carbing up. I've been substituting the chicken breast for Tuna on whole grain bread.

    Any suggestions?

    do you know the total macronutrients?
    first off not enough fiberous veggies.
    not NEAR enough HEALTHY FATS!!!

    tell me exactly what your carb ups consist of.

    also keep in mind that its very hard to add LBM and shed fat at the same time. you should pick one goal at a time in my opinon.

    You need to decide what you want to do first. Either Lean out and lose bodyfat or gain LBM.

    Thats not enough to feed a bird even for a cut and don't count on gaining much LBM on that diet. Where are EFA's? How bout more protein? You need more P than that. How many carbs in your carb up? I hope its more than just that bread.

    what healthy fats should I add? I guess I should add more than a few pieces of bread for the carb up day too. I just feel bloated after eating a lot of carbs.

    I'd rather lose my love handles first, but I don't want to lose any muscle or size by not eating enough.

    A carb up should include close to 1G per LB of bodyweight. Not a few slices of bread or your going to lose A TON of LBM.

    Try getting some fish oil, nuts and maybe some flax for EFA's.

    would natural penut butter be ok? And what quantity of EFA's do you want a day?

    the bread may make you bloated due to an allergy to some ingredients. I know it does to me.
    try carbing up on brown rice,old fashioned oatmeal, sweet potatoes, etc. you may feel better.
    and I agree with Jodi you need MUCH more carbs than you are having.
    you defintly need to be eating more to help preserve as much muscle as you can while dieting.
