I want to lose some body fat

I have decided to get on a strict diet. But I can't decide if I want to cycle carbs or something where I eat the same amount each day. Also, if I cycle carbs, on the high carb days do I eat less of anything else in order to maintain a certain calorie count? Any advice would be helpful, I am new at this and have only been weight training for just under 2 years.

    Stats:
    6'2
    215 lbs
    38 waist

The only real fat I have is around the ol' belly
everything else is moving along nicely

Well , you could do a diet where you eat the same amount each day and if after a few weeks it wasn't doing what you want you could change to the carb cycling. I have had good luck with just reducing calories and eating the same thing. simpler that way i think. And I like simple !

as Gary said it really depends on what you are willing to do. many members here have carb cycled successfully, as well many have lost on simply a reduced calorie diet.
have you read Twink Peaks articles on carb cycling yet. that may answer some of your questions.
as well as the stickies at the top of the forum. tons of dieting ideas.
