Sinful sodium, just knowing how loaded it is makes it taste bad to me. I put BBQ sauce on my rice actually (I'm serious), its Kraft brand. Spaghetti sauce also makes a nice cheap spanish rice.

One word for you -- actually, three, sorry:
    Bragg's Liquid Aminos

No added salt at all, though it does still have some sodium from the soy beans.

I buy the light soy sauce sauce with 1/2 the sodium. As long as I drink plenty of water and use the soy sauce sparingly, I don't worry either.

I used to suck the old Taco Bell 'cups' clean when I was a kid, but I dont know if I was so young that I had no developed taste buds yet. I used to climb into the cupboards to do that.

Compared though to my native american (mexican if you will) friend, I can't eat diddly. Habanero etc, noooooooo way.

I live on hot sauce. I add it to everything I eat. I don't worry about sodium, it doesn't make me bloat and my blood pressure is super low.

Soy sauce kicks ass too. I mix it with chinese hot mustard and put it on brown rice with grilled chicken and veggies. Wow it's good!!!

I love Soy Sauce, but it sends my blood pressure into the stratosphere. I am trying to ween myself off of it now.

Soy sauce is godly. I use two teaspoons of 1/2 sodium soy sauce, two teaspoons of brown rice vinegar, one teaspoon of paprika and two teaspoons of water mixed with a pack of Splenda to make a sauce for my brown rice or barley every day. I don't use any other condiments, though, just cinnamon sticks, onion/garlic powder.

    Peace.
