i'd stay away from ephedrine, your overall health is more important then speed for football

there have been some deaths lately in sports that have been linked to ephedra, so i for one wouldn't take it and even more so if you are overly active

I gotta drop my forty time as well. I'm guessing it's somewhere between a 4.9-5.1 sec. right now. I'm gonna see if I can test it tommorow. If I can get down to a 4.8 or 4.7 than that would be tight. A 4.6 and I'd be really happy. I'm prolly gonna use this program you posted bigss.
    back for the first time....

if you got it to a "true" 4.6 you would be hauling, cause that is wideout speed

i would expect a 4.8 if you worked really hard but a 4.6 will take alot of time (years) in training

Lets put it this way, President Bush isnt doing to well in office, so he calls up some advisors, "Whats a hot topic that I can take advantage of?" ...."Well Mr. President, Ephedra seems to have been big in the world of sports, its linked to a couple deaths, but those people have had previous heart problems and have taken exceeded amounts" ....."Lets ban it, that should get me some votes, now off to the steroids and baseball topic..."

No, not really. I assume then that California legislators needed more votes when they banned it? Or how about Illinois and New York? How about the NFL? There are much hotter issues in the political world than ephedra. If there is any real impact I would guess Bush would lose votes, rather than gain. Conservative and libertarian leaning voters (who would probably vote for Bush over Kerry) could see this as a part of the WoD and not vote for Bush. Or it could be seen as another attempt to have "big brother" government protect us. That image doesn't normally appeal to conservatives either. I think you're way off base if you think this is a "hot topic" that the President can take advantage.

Some info I found from some news stories about ephedra:

The Annals of Internal Medicine reported that, although products with ephedra make up less than 1 percent of dietary supplement sales, it has accounted for 64 percent of the serious side effects that have been reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in association with dietary supplements.

A second study published in the journal Neurology found that the rate of strokes among ephedra users was higher than in nonusers. The supplement users in the study took more than 32 milligrams a day; some ephedra labels recommend almost 100 milligrams daily.
    --------------------------

From January 1993 through October 2000, the FDA received almost 1400 reports of adverse events linked to herbal supplements containing ephedra, including 81 deaths, 32 heart attacks, 62 reports of cardiac arrhythmia, 91 reports of hypertension, 69 strokes, and 70 seizures. Complaints to the FDA about ephedra made up 42 percent of all dietary supplement complaints and 59 percent of all reported deaths related to dietary supplements.

    CreaKid13,
How Big are you (Height & Weight)? What position do you play? Losing weight the way you are doing will not affect speed as much as actually doing speed drills and you so happen to lose weight while doing intense training. I assuming you are only trying to lose fat.
