You can add more protein and veggies yes. What are you currently taking in for protein every day right now?
What the hell is wrong with me heh! Ok for the past year I have seriously kept to my diet and eaten every 2-3 hours. Lately I have been eating every 2 hours on the dot! I mean I look back at my day and think how the hell do I not gain weight this way.
So is it just that my metabolism is getting that high? I was always fat as a child and had a VERY slow metabolism, but now and days I can eat a FULL meal every hour and still be hungry. I am currently doing TP's carb cycling and have been thinking the lack of carbs in my day is what keeps me hungry but I have no idea anymore. Would it be OK to eat more meat and veggies or eat SOMETHING! I feel guilty as it is eating every 2 hours and my mind is slowely tricking me to go into that starvation mode like I use to when I was younger. I tell myself no, chicken and vegtables are good for you!!!!!
This isn't your typical late night craving either, its the just got home from a 5 hours gym session (which I don't do) and can eat a horse, but its every damn hour for me!
So could I start eating more protein and veggies? Even though they don't fill me up, I'm talking I could pound down 20oz's of chicken sometimes with no prob. I feel this is bad because I am a pretty small guy, 5'6" 176lbs!!!!! I could go on forever as my mind keeps thinking of stuff, so Im gonna stop now and wait for your advice, heh I'm a freak I know!
Thanks everyone!

currently I eat 6 egg whites and 2 fulls eggs in the am, then 9oz'z of chicken in the next 4-5 meals, a shake after the gym and my FFCC before bed. On the no carb days I do another shake before bed. When I have carbs in my first 3 meals I get filled a little more but after those meals hide your children because they could be next to go down!

Well if you're not gaining weight, you're going to have to bite the bullet and eat more. Who cares about gaining fat, as long as you know you're continually growing, of course there is a line you must draw between fat gain while eating clean and excessive fat gain from way too many cals, but I think a lot of people on this forum refuse to come to terms with the fact that fat gain comes part and parcel with mass gain.
As far as being hungry all the time, I feel you completely. I am at 3200 now, and I'm only getting hungrier.
Peace.

I also have ridiculous eating capabilities even by bodybuilding standards. I am running my own little experimental carb cycling diet and have managed to curb the out of control appetite a little bit while still staying around energy balance. Just haphazardly adding cals probably won't fix this problem.
See if you can figure out what foods give you the strongest satiety signals and which ones tend to make you want to eat more and more(like peanut butter). This will take experimentation.
For some people meat gives high level of satiety. For me if I have something like chicken breast, I can mow through 8 large breasts in a meal, which is excessive. Same thing with 8 cans tuna. So I find protein sources that I don't feel hungry after eating.
A trick on very low cal and low carb days that has helped me is to use more protein shakes. I'll fill 2 1 liter nalgene type bottles full using say 25-50 grams protein powder (I have found something like milk isolate or soy isolate seems to work well) and drink both for a meal. Hell make 3 liters at a time if you want. I just use 2 so that I don't have to go the bathroom all day long. Use some low cal artificial sweeteners etc. to make it all palatable.
I tend to go with fat sources like fish oil capsules and olive oil and avoid things like peanut butter and coconut butter etc. that tend to make me want to binge.
Then on my carb overfeeds, I do things like loading calories at night and limiting food selection. Both seem to help with excess hunger.
Have you considered using an ECA stack or incorporating avants Leptigen into your supplements? Both curb the appetite...
How long have you been doing the cycle? If you were doing a higher fat diet before- your bpdy may take a bit to adjust to not having the fat![]()
One thing that REALLY helps is to up your fiber intake. I use psyllium husk and a TRUCKLOAD of vegetables. Sure, it makes you kinda gassy, but it's better than being hungry all day.
Peace.

Jodi--I am currently takin in anywhere from 300-320g of protein daily.
Leslie--I have not taken any suppliments to supress hunger, and $ is short. Its hard enough spending tons of money on my food and current supps lets alone another one to the list. Are they worth it? I was just doing a basic clean bulk before this, eating as much as possible! I have been doing this cycle now for about 2 months now. Time to change? I haven't exactly seen the results I desired but I'll give it some more time and see how it goes.
I guess this will be a good thing come time to bulk again because I will be able to eat like a true animal and benefite from it heh.
Premo55--I take in some fiber with my veggies and other things I eat. I have just recently tried some wheat germ stuff someone in my house bought, it adds a few extra grams of fiber to my diet with my shakes and stuff, I just lessen my carbs each day I take it in my meals because it has like 12 carbs a serving. I was dfebating the husk stuff, haven't had a chance to go get any yet.
Cardinal--Foods that curb my appetite?? HMM CARBS lol! Heavy carbs like potatoes and pasta are pretty much it. Other then that I can eat alot of anything. Sakes especially, I could drink 2 shakes then chase it with a whole meal and not be satisfied, or atleast not for long.
Did I get everyone there? Heh. So am I just a freak or will this go away?

nothing curbs my appetite so what i just do is while i am cooking or preparing my food i guzzle down a bunch of water, as much as i can get down in a 10-15 second period, then while eating i drink when thirsty then after i finished my set meal i guzzle down for another 10 seconds worth, this leaves me feeling bloated but full for a good amount of time
