unless you're lactose intolerant
otherwise, eggs and oatmeal are both cheap and easy

Rice and black beans are a good source of protein and carbs.

My digestive system was kinda like that when I was relying too much on shakes. I eat mostly just real food now and have no problem.

All good suggs do a search on protein

Eggs - hard boil a dozen or so you can take those anywhere and eat them when you need, since you are a hard gainer (skinny) you can make like a dip with some dressing or hot sauce

boil a bunch of chicken breast take one and a half or so in a ziplock mabey some black beans, your set

theres always some kind of meat for lunch at my school, i go to public school in annapolis md. should i trust the cafeteria food here? usually i eat a peanut butter & banana sandwich and whatever else i throw in my backpack for lunch. but since theres meat served every day, i might just buy the school lunch since theres protein in it. problem is, its like a $1.75 for an entire lunch, and how healthy can food be for that cheap of a price? hmm i'm suspicious.

25 pounds of rice is 5 bucks at Costco, cheap like dirt, easy calories.

For protein chicken or beef for me, and whey.

The reason school lunch is so cheap is beacuse of school funding not quality, I really liked my school lunch as for protien try to stick with the unprocessed stuff, like the processed chicken patties, those things they call burgers.

How about nuts (peanuts, almonds, cashews)?

Milk is also great, i remember reading about an oldschool mass 'diet' which just asked you to drink a gallon of whole milk/day. It might seem stupid, but thats tons of cals, protein, fat, and carbs, great for hardgainers or those on 'super-mass bulks'
