Question milk me no likey....soy milk OK for me?

Milk and me have never gotten along.

I like to have vanilla soy milk with my whey, but I've seen some pretty damning stuff that its not good for men.

sooooooo....Keep it in the diet, or get used to ceral and water?

personally I wouldnt even use soy..
you could look for rice or almond milk.

or for your cereal I have just put vanilla whey protein in my cereal rather than milk. (I dont drink milk either)

why bother with cereal? Certainly there are better things to be eating... if that is really the only time milk is nice, than it seems you could avoid the product altogether by cutting cereal out of your diet... I might recommend for breakfast trying 12 oz's water, 2 scoops protein, and 1 cup uncooked old fashioned oats... this is my favorite breakfast... YUM!

Are you kidding me????

goals: cut/loose weight. Tri's and lifting

cerel: i like it. good source of carbs

But it sounds pretty damning. I read this morning that large quantieis (sp?) of soy can increase estrogen and twart muscle growth.

that last liter is getting poured out

Skim milk or 1-2% milk for bulkers and Low Carb FF milk for cutters.

I don't see what's wrong with soy milk. There are soy milks out there that have like 3g of fiber per 250 ml, 7g of protein and 1-3g of starch/carbs....those are good stats to me, as long as you're not drinking soy profusely day in and day out. Zakk, sorry to burst your bubble, but cereal really isn't a good source of carbs. Even stuff like All Bran and Fiber One are very inferior to oats, brown rice, other whole grains, etc.

Also, why don't you just mix your whey in water? I don't get it. You are trying to cut, right?

Peace.

its fiber one, Kashi (sp?) and the occasional shredded wheat. i love that stuff.

The issue is the need for some calories and stuff early. I like having the ceral in the moring, and I've somehow managed to lose over 100 pounds doing it. so my diet and cut method isn't in question, IMO. This is a lifestyle change for me. I enjoy lifting and see its benifits to an overall healthy lifestyle. but with a LBM of nearly 200 pounds, I'll wait on the bulk.

my concern is that soy is counter-productive. Is it?
