as Jodi said, any protein source will do.
how do you cook your eggs normally? making protein pancakes is great and you dont taste eggs either.

Jodi, thanks. Its just that I see that everyone usually eats eggs/whites for breakfast, and I feel like Im missing out because I dont eat eggs.....or cottage cheese or red meat (im a vegetarian who does eat fish).
Atherjen, thanks....so protein pancakes is a good replacement? I dont mind eggs in recipes at all, I just dont really like them alone. CourtQueen, Ive tried eggs with salsa, hot sauce and ketchup....theyre not disgusting but I just dont care for them and I dont really feel like forcing myself to eat something I dont care for. |

Bkfst: Yogurt, granola bar and a banana or Kashi Go Lean Cereal w/ soy milk and banana or Protein shake and oatmeal Lunch Grilled/baked Fish, rice & beans, broccoli or Tuna sandwich w/ lettuce, tomato and onion on a spinach wrap or veggie burger on a hard roll w/ lettuce, tomato and onion and baked lays potato chips Dinner Spinach salad w/ salmon patty or whole wheat speghetti with mixed vegetables and teriyaki sauce and spinach salad or Vegetarian chikin strips w/ cabbage and soy sauce I'm 5/2, 130 lbs. Im looking to lose this extra flab (especially on my abs) so that I can show some muscle tone. I work out 5 days a week. |

wow I defintly see some changes that need to be made.
are you only eating 3 meals a day??? you should be eating 5-6 smaller feedings, each having a lean protein source. which I see that sometimes you dont. Id get rid of the Kashi cereal, soy milk, banana, bread, hard roll and baked lays chips. opt for cleaner more complex carbs such as old fashioned oatmeal, brown/wild rice, beans/legumes, Fiber 1 cereal or All bran, sweet potatoes/yams, fiberous fruit like apples, pears, berries and grapefruit and tons more fiberous veggies. I also dont see ANY healthy fats.

I usually have a protein bar or shake for my snacks. What do you suggest in terms of healthy fat.
Also do i like my weight, I just would like to tone up, do I have to lose weight 1st before I can tone up or is it possible to tone up the flab I have now without having to lose weight. THX |

protein bars are junk IMO. real food is much better.
healthy fats- olive oil, flax oil, hempseed oil, Udos oil, fish oil caps, natural peanut butter, nuts/seeds in moderation. if you focus on lifting heavy weights and proper nutrition you are able to "tone" (I hate that word.. prefer sculpt) your body as desired by enhancing more lean mass development which takes less space on your body than fat. with more muscle your metabolism is higher, thus enabling you to loose more fat. with proper nutrition and training you can definitly meet your goals. ![]()

try buying pasturized egg whites and instead of 2 scoops of whey in your shake use 1 plus 250ml of egg white, have 1 extra shake and just like that you have 16 egg whites . add some milk and you wont even notice. |
