100 grams is the weight of the chicken. You can't weigh the fat and carbs and protein.

How do they find out how much fat one piece of chicken contains.. I thought that they would take a small piece, put under a microscope, separate all fat, carbs and protein and weight it. Is there really another way? dg806 said it is not possible to weight macronutrients. ![]() |

It may be possible to wiegh if you take the visible fat off the chicken breast. But finding out exactly how much fat is in an actual chicken breast maybe impossilbe. It can vary. I normally strip the visible fat and go by 3 grams of fat per 4 oz. Breast.
