Tap water sucks. I have pur water pitcher at home that I got at costco on special for 7bucks. The filter should last for 40gallons. At work we have filtered water as well.

Tap water contains trace amounts of every single chemical we use. All chemical substances we use that touch the ground are eventually washed down into the nearest body of water or sewer. As well, the water that you drink from the tap is the same water you bathe and poop in. It is just treated with more chemicals to clean it up. I always drink spring water if possible, but I will drink tap water if I must.

i heard that tap water was better because bottled water filters out a lot of minerals and vitamins.

Got a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator....there is a filter on that thing that lasts about 6 months or so. Also, got a PUR filter on the sink...they both do well.

There is a taste difference and that enough for me to filter it.

We have a Kenmore that has that filtered water. Problem is that I've had the water pump area worked on twice at $200 + a pop after the warranty expired. Needless to say, I'm not spending $200 every 6 months to keep the water.

Probably my last Kenmore. I also had Sears come out and fix my washer once, and the jackass broke some screws. It works, but my next appliance purchase will NOT be via sears.

I like the Ozarka spring water, but the well water at my grandfathers place is just awesome.

I've known for years that most bottled water is just filtered water.
....hmm what would you think bottled water would be... some "special" water

In the uk Dasani was taken off sale as it had three times the legal ammount of bromide in it. We haven't seen it over here since Christmas, when I saw Jonny Knoxville drinking it in Walking Tall in made me shiver

I drink tap water, as it's pretty drinkable around here. Mind you with all the agricultural spraying of maize, sunflowers etc. who knows what's in it. But that goes for the most of the stuff we shove into our bodies, the veg and meat, all loaded with hormones, and chemicals etc.....

    Just grin and bear it..........

There was a weird story going around England in some of the more obsure papers that tap water in the uk was 'full of' female hormones
