    Help!!!

okay i'm a 15 yr old 224 lb female! i need to lose weight! (OBVIOUSLY! LOL) my diet right now is .... ANYTHING! lol i dont know! i just eat whatever i feel like eating i guess, which honestly isnt much! i wake up at 5:30 and dont eat anything, then its off to school by 6:30, i eat lunch at 12:10, and for lunch i either eat nachos w/ cheese and chili, or some type of sandwich (either spicy of breaded, and sometimes grilled when they have it) then um, i get one soda at some point in the school hours. Come home, eat dinner which is anything my mom fixes which is usually kinda healthy! I NO MY "DIET" is totally tore up! but here's something that was weird ... when i used to only eat nachos at school i lost 10 pounds in one week! no lie! i went from 234 to 224 i one week! and all i ate was nachos ate school and then whateva my mom fixed! also i want to start drinking protein shakes, what would be a good one to buy? i've used whey protein before and it was pretty good, should i continue with that? ANY advice would be helpful!

oh yea, people tell me that i'm too young to actually diet diet, and that instead i should just watch what i eat and how much of it i eat ... true??

have you began by reading the stickies at the top of the forum on basic nutrition?? I think that would be a great start for you.
sounds like you are starving your body and eating improper foods. you need to be eating smaller (5-6) small meals spread out througout the day to keep your metabolism going.
basing your nutrition on complex carbs, fiberous veggies, lean protein and healthy fats along with lots of water and EXERCISE as well.
again, start by reading the stickies...a wealth of information

Along with a healthy diet i suggest you start some form of light exercise like walking around a track for 20-30 minutes a day.

try and spend the LEAST amount of time sitting on the couch as possible!!! Any kind of activity will help... also, start eating a healthy moderate calorie breakfast... and no more nachos...

    The key is activity level...
    Are you kidding me????

Start packing your lunch, eat something for breakfast, ask your gym teacher to help you get a workout plan started, take up some sports. Start carrying around a water bottle drop the nacho's and soda.

i dont have gym anymore (gym one semester and health the other) for freshman! and i did basketball but the season is over, so my activity level has SERIOUSLY dropped, but spring break is on it's way (3 more days left till break) and that's when i'm going to start lifting! and yes i supposed i could pack my lunch, and yes i've already started carrying a water bottle with me. I hate eating breakfast (possibly because i NEVER have time to eat lol) but i'll try!

Jaim91 that would be helpful, i'll PM you later, gotta get to school now!

    thank you all!

well there is always the option of just getting out and going for walks/jogs in your nerighborhood to keep active.
also, dont use the excuse that you dont have TIME to eat in the morning.. MAKE the time. set your alarm earlier. its a lifestyle change and only you can make that step.
