    Question about nuts.....

Hi everyone...this is my first post...hope this is not a stupid question but here it goes....

I eat every 3 hours.....right now I'm trying to drop some weight....I don't have trouble loosing weight but the more I loose the more I have to fine tune my diet to keep the fat loss up without destroying to much muscle....I usually eat a handful of unsalted dry roasted peanuts with every meal...so thats 6 handfuls a day. The reason why I do it is to keep my calories from being to low....I'm 5'10'' 195lbs and have a pretty fast matabolism....are peanuts a bodybuilding no no?

    Thanks!!! 350Z

PS. this is a great site!

    Hi there! Welcome to IM!

hmmm depends on HOW many nuts your actaully eating. I would suggest only going with 1 "handful" and getting better soucres of EFA's in your diet.
how much protein and carbs are you getting as well?

I try to make it simple so I'll pick a protien and a carb. Lately its been eggs cottage cheese whey powder and tuna for protien. For carbs oats apples and raisin cinimon bagels(PWO only!). In a typical day I'll eat a tub of cottage cheese 20 eggs(5yolks) at least one whey shake mixed with water 3 apples and one cup of oats....with a handful of nuts each meal (about 6 hand fulls).....should I keep eating the nuts or do the bads out weigh the good?

I would only have one-two handfulls a day. Stick to flax and fish oil as your primary fat sources.

Dont get me wrong, omega 6 (nuts) FA are good, but you want to consume more omega 3's (flax seed oil). Dont have fats at every meal. Meal one and PWO shake do not consume any. Since you are on a cut, stick to putting fats in no carb meals.
    Eat. Train. Sleep. Repeat.
