Too much fiber at one time?

I don't quite know for sure, but I go through most of my day bloated and very gassy. I did a show on April 3rd and I am now eating like a normal person again. I eat a good amount of buckwheat pancakes for breakfast which my servings have for sure 20 grams of fiber at one time. I really love these pancakes that is why I eat so much, not intentionally trying to get that much fiber. My stomach is visibly sticking out on the top under neath my top 4 abdominal muscles. Any advise as far as what is going on here?

Some fibers (soluble) can ferment in your gut, your body is adjusting to the influx of bran most likely.

I am probably getting 40 or so grams of fiber per day. I am also taking Wormwood complex and acidolphus to aid in digestion. My fiber intake is the same now as it was in preperation for my BB'ing show as well. The only difference in diet is more carbs, adding breads and flours and dairy (which may be the culprit of some of my gas).

I have the exact same problem when I eat too much oatmeal.
On my bulks I used to eat up to 6 cups. Needless to say, that was alot of fiber & gluten. I found that my digestive tract doesn't get quite so irritated if I substitute with some white rice pre workout. Normally I would use brown, but in this case it's the only effective option. That might work as a good substitute for you as well, or, if you are looking for a low glycemic carb, what about gluten-free pasta(assuming you have an allergy to wheat or gluten)

sounds like an allergy then as well to gluten/wheat (as I am) . try switching to gluten free grains for a while and see if that helps any.

Dude I have the same problem, but my fiber intake is over 80g a day, hahaha. You'll get used to it over time, though, I presume, it's not quite so bad for me anymore.

    Peace.
