    Sugar Free Gum/Candy/Mints

Hey guys, I know a lot of you rely on on sf gum candy or mints to get through those times when you wanna eat something just for the sake of eating/chewing!

My stomach doesnt take to sugar alcohols very well, and every single brand of SF gum candy and mints has sugar alcohols in them EVEN if they say splenda on the front..

Does anybody know of any that DONT have the sug alcohols?

And for the blonde question.. do sugar alcohols show up on breathalyzer tests?

Not positive, but I believe Tic Tacs do not contain sugar alcohols. As for gum, Orbitz only has 1 sugar alcohol per piece.

All S/F Gum and mints have sugar alcohols in it. If they didn't I couldn't imagine how nasty they would taste

There are several kinds of sugar alcohols. Maybe its just maltitol (the most common) that you can't handle.

I prefer isomalt above the rest.

What exactly is bad about the SA, I hear people say it is bad all the time. Ok so some people can't stomach it, but what are the bad aspects of it?

I used to get a really good gum from my ND back home-it didnt contain any sugar(used stevia), didnt have any fluroide, just natural herbs. it was actaully really good. I forget the name of it but I dont know of ANY other place that had it.

Jen! Maybe you can mail some to me

I know maltitol is bad, and sorbitol definately, not sure about isomalt.. but in general I have problems w/ all of them.

It's funny tho how some days I can eat several grams w/ no problem and other days ONE stick of gum gives me upset tummy.
