    Is this possible

Is it possible to go from and endomorph to an ectomorph. I had no problems gaining weight in the past and now I cant put a pound on me. I took me 3 years to put on 70lbs and 7 months to loose 70lbs. Im not sure but I think I may have screwed up my immune system some how. I only got a cold once maybe twice a year and now since I have lost all the weight I have been sick 3 times in a 7month period. If you look in my gallery wich body type would you say I am. Thanks in advance.

You look like an ecto to me. If you lost 70lbs and 7 months...........then me thinks you've always been an ecto

Thats what I would say too. I would also like to add, that you are probably getting sick from dieting. This happens all to often. once you start to bulk back up, I doubt you will ever get sick.

it's difficult to judge from before and after pics as an adult what body type you are, not to mention there is no real science behind that meso, ecto, endo body type classification anyway. It's just a generalization, and most people are a combination of two types any way.

I always ask people what they looked like growing up, like elemenatary thru high school. That is a good indicator of your body type. Were you pretty lean, or were you always a bit chubby, did you naturally posess muscle, were you athletic, those type of things.

For me, I was always relatively lean as a kid all the way up until high school, and when I started lifting weights I put on muscle pretty quickly and easily. Also I was always naturally athletic, and never had any weight problems. So, I have always regarded myself as predominantly a meso-morph, which to be mostly one body type is kind of rare.

Hmmmm. I would be intresting to see someones bulking diet that has close to the same body type as me. I have learned alot over the last few months on how to loose weight I think I have got that down pat, but now its time to learn about putting weight on. This will be a great experiment. I might start adding in more pasta and upping the whole foods for protein, as it is I am now going through 12 pounds of protein powder a month.

As kid I was alway lean and thin. Skinny bones you could say. I was always athletic (golf team basketball team tennins team) I played highschool sports year round. I didnt gain any weight until my wife had our first child and it was down hill from there. I hate to say it but I think I will have a diffucult time putting on some serious mucsle. I did say diffucult and not impossible. I will just have to see how much hard work will pay off.

I always felt that I missed my boat, I got so involved in bodybuilding as a teen, I should have joined the football team. I was a natural sprinter, right from elementary school all the way thru Junior high I was always in the top 3 fastest sprinters, some grades I was the fastest, as well as on my soccer teams.

I think i would have made a great running back.

well that would indicate ecto maybe with slight endo. If you were a true ecto you would be very lean (cut) even as an adult. I have a good friend that I grew up with that I can say is a true ecto, even to this day he is extremely lean no matter what he eats he just does not gain fat, he has a six pac of abs.

oh, and to your initial question, no I do not think it's possible to change your "body type", it's genetic.

based on your metabolism, different hormone levels, muscle fiber types, number of fat cells, etc.

however, if you build muscle mass, weight train, and eat correctly you can maintain a lean musclar physique.

Yeh but look what you have accomplished today. If you went the other rout would you have been happy? Just think if I started lifting weights when I was a teenager. I might have been huge. If I knew what I know now I would have been hitting the weights years ago. Your love is bodybuilding if it wasnt you wouldnt compete or this web site wouldnt exsist.
