Bodyfat calipers question?mm to bf %?
Ok, I was thinking about buying some economical calipers. The ones I see just use mm to measure fat, and then you have to convert using a chart.
I already have a set of nice digital vernier calipers. I was wondering if I could get one of you guys to just write down the conversion chart.
I know cheap, but gotta save money for other things. Like food

The Accufit calipers are actually fairly accurate. It gave me a good range and corresponded pretty much with the 9 site caliper tests I have gotten.

Nice! I tried searching all over the place but can't find where the Midaxilla, Subscapula, or Suprailiac are.
My calipers are digital and only use 3 readings. I'd like to try it with 7 sites. The digital one is as easy as can be but I think I'd buy a manual one next time so you're not locked into only using 3 sites.

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

You are not locked into using only three sites. At least, not if your digital is like my digital.
On mine, one sets it up, and then pushes a button. It indicates that it is Ready to Measure. Measure, and the mm are displayed on the screen. Hint: write it down now.
To get the automated three-site, of course, you then push a button marked "Select" and it goes to the next site. If, however, you push a different button (which, in the instructions, you are told to push if you fecked up and want to re-measure), then it just resets to "Ready." Move to YOUR next site of choice, measure, write down result. Repeat.
For best results, if you are not a Trained Professional, 1, get a helper and 2, do each measurement three times, and average the results for your final entries. Don't do each site three times in a row; go round in a circuit so that each "pinch" has time to recover.
Ignore automated electronic calculation, turn off calipers, and go on your merry way.

Paynne, try this:

They need to have it in Layman's terms but it gives you an idea of the sites whereabouts.

yeah body fat composition is kinda a wierd stat to judge yourself by cause i have seen people with lower body fat comps but because of their body structure they don't look as lean, although i am kinda interested at what my bodyfat is at currently
