BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com I know you're taking a risk (like 1 in 30,000) when eating raw eggs, but is it alright to be eating raw egg whites (well your drinking it actually). I've got the cartoned egg whites, sort of like egg beaters (mine are called Simply Egg Whites), where I can just take 2 tbsp for every egg white, would it be ok for me to consume this raw?

I believe it's pasteurized, but I'm too lazy to get up and check.

cartoned egg whites are pasturized, so yes they are fine to consume raw.

![]() ok here we go: Albumen in the urine is a general sign, as studies show that a significantly higher amount of malabsorbed protein (egg) was found in the urine of healthy individuals (1). Stable isotope techniques are used to determine the digestibility of raw eggs vs. cooked eggs. In another study, using this method, it was demonstrated that the assimilation of cooked egg protein is efficient, albeit incomplete, and that the true ileal digestibility of egg protein is significantly enhanced by heat-pretreatment (2). Heat-pretreatment of course being cooked. Not to mention you have a 1 in 30,000 chance to get salmonella from a raw egg. Also, if you blend raw eggs or whatever, you can break up the chemical bonds of amino acids where as cooking them can hook the bonds together, which inevitably is the objective. hmm I don't plan on eating the actual eggs raw, just the egg whites. However, would it be better if I nuked them in the microwave first (the egg whites) in that case?
