IMO, that's wrong. People need to understand what they should and should not eat and why. Just an easy out for lazy people. Of course that's the ones always looking for a diet.

I am beginning more and more to think that people actually DO know what they should be eating, it's just that they don't like it so they eat what they want.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.

As true as that may be, it takes away one more excuse for people to claim stupidity. Personally, I could care less if it's a lazy man's diet so long as they aren't milking the healthcare industry dry with all their weight related issues. lol

i can see it now....red bagels....that way people feel justified eating them
My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right.

I have to disagree with this. Although some people do know what is good/bad but choose to eat what they feel the majority of people do not know/understand what they should be eating. Through my time of understanding and studying nutrition I have learned so much information I could proably give someone a headache just talkin to them and hearing others talk to me about nutrition I have realized people are oblivious to what they are talking about. Whether they don't have the ability or they are just to lazy to learn they choose not to understand the concept of proper eating and nutrition.

Even though this is a lazy man's diet and most people will disagree with it you also have to understand our country is made of lazy people. Remember people not everyone is dedicated like we are here, so most people will just take the easy way out with such things as this red/yellow/green food group thing. And who knows maybe while following a chart like that people will start to wonder why they are eating these food and little by little get more involved into the understanding of nutrition aspect of the diet not just the easy way out. Lets just hope they don't start to ask questions like Vieope does heh

I am with all of you who say this is a stupid idea and people should just learn the proper way but if this is a crutch some people need to lean on in order to get involved with nuteition go for it. Its not gonna change my life at all so I say to each is own!
