OK...caloric balance determines fat gain. Eat more than you need and you will gain weight...muscle and fat. Eat less and lose weight. It's simple. Excess calories from carbs, protein, or fat...doesn't matter...will equate to added weight.
im trying to build muscle but i dont want to put on any fat . to build muscle i know i need to be taking in more calories, is it ok to eat carbs up to about 8 pm or will the carbs be strored as fat? ,as i am not using them .because i read an article by lee haney saying eat for what your going to do not for what youve done

Searching for the right balance...
it largely depends on when you workout too, if you work out early in the day you might as well do some good carb partitioning using the carbs earlier in the day to supply energy to your workouts and for your postworkout meals
