Boneless skinless chicken breast
Lean steak (Eye of round, top round, inside round)

Eggs!
the best source of protein, and they're cheap!
if you're worried about fat just eat a couple whole eggs, and the rest just the egg whites.
^ Kinda high in sodium for my tastes.

Well then consider 100% pasturized liquid eggwhites that come in a little milk carton looking bottle. You can get them at just about every food store. They cost about 2 bucks per bottle and you get a total of 50 grams of protein in about 10 servings. Aside from tuna, its my absolute favorite source of natural protein. And they're safe and totaly tasteless. Here's the info:Originally posted by Premo55

Someday....I will be like you....
Why would you want to eat something that's tasteless?
EDIT: I thought you were talking about powdered albumen. I believe egg beaters are higher in sodium than that.

I use all of the following sources on a regular basis:
Tuna
Sardines
Peanut Butter
2% Cottage Cheese
Whey Powder
Brewer's Yeast
Nutritional Yeast
Egg Whites
Skinless Chicken
LF Yogurt
Skim Milk
Turkey Breast
Ham
Now, the peanut butter definitely has a decent amount of fat in it. However, most of it is good fat. Granted, too much fat is still too much fat, but if you supplement your other sources with this then it could help. Also, LF peanut butter is probably available, but who wants that crap?
Also, sardines sometimes come packed in oil. If so, then get the ones packed in olive oil, in addition to the fish oil, to get more good fat. Otherwise you can drain the oil and it will be fairly low in fat.
The two yeasts have to be mixed with fruit juice for me to even drink them, they taste pretty bad, in my opinion, unless mixed. Brewer's yeast only has worked in apple juice for me thus far. The other yeast is pretty good in any juice.
Ham sometimes has a lot of fat in it, but if you get lean deli ham, or any lean deli meats, you can make some protei-rich sandwiches.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

athletes have no concern regarding sodium intake from natural food sources...if you look at the nutritional profiles of natural protein sources you will find that most have almost no sodium. sodium is only a concern for those who are overweight and suffer from high blood pressure and hypertension...Originally posted by Premo55
