Is coke [soda] real bad for you?

Well i just looked at a coke can and it says:

    Calories 140
    Total fat 0g
    Sodium 50mg
    Total carb 39g
    Sugars 39g
    Protein 0g

Thats a normal coke.. i mean is it very bad at all if you just have one? I mean theres only 140 calories.. which isnt very much and no fat in it.

I think it's sort of weird that someone who claims to be subsisting on 500 cals. a day, (or at least was). is asking a question about regular Coke. Just my observation. Nothing against you at all.

No, but you were asking if it was "okay" to drink. Again, I was just making a random comment.

You didn't imply that you were to drink it or even contemplating to drink it, but I just took it into context with your post from yesterday.

I do not think that is what is in Coke, I think it's pure sugar, i.e. sucrose.

I think it is a butt load of high fructose corn syrup along with the caramel coloring that they add.

By the way, I'm pretty sure there are 2 or 2.5 servings in one can. Therefore, there are actually 80-100g of sugar in a coke. That's all going straight to your stomach unless you have an excellent metabolism or you do some serious exercise right after you drink it.
