    Question Question about Apples

I've been eating apples with my cottage cheese for the past few weeks...one apple to with every 12oz of cottage cheese (mixed up)....are apples considered a complex carb or more of a simple carbohydrate? I'm trying to lean out so I'm definatly avioding all simple carbs except for the PWO meal.

    Thanks! 350Z

PS. is there a better choice of fruit/carb???

I think apples are perfect. I personally eat two a day. They are a lower glycemic carb wich is better than say a banana. If your having one apple a day you should be fine.

all fruits contain simple sugars. complex carbs are grains, legumes, etc. you can eat fruit when trying to lose weight but for best results it should be consumed early in the day...

Green apples are the better apple, the GI index is not that bad but I dont recall its number.

apples are a perfect choice in fruit, low GI, full of fiber and nutritents. 1/day isnt going to hinder your weight loss at this point. other good choices are pears, and berries.

I ate four apples today on my high carb day. Diets that allow you to eat decent amounts of fruit on a CUT= great.

    Peace.
