If my workouts are early in the morning and I decided to eat alot of good carbs before bed, would the carbs still have a chance to convert to fat. In other words how fast do carbs metabolize?

This sounds crazy, but If I eat carbs 1 hour or 2 hours before bed I sleep better and I wake up with more energy before a early morning workout. This is why I was wondering how long it takes for carbs to hit the body and how long do those carbs last. Time wise in hours.Originally posted by LAM

I think you would get more energy by eating them first thing in the morning because your blood sugar will raise a bit even if its slow burning carbs. JMO

I usually try to cut way back on the carbs at night unless I get a real late night workout in, then I don't have much of a choice. I just try to eat a good amount of protein, fat, and a very small amount of carbs consisting mostly of fiber.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...
