    which diet is me?

    which diet is for me? bulking or cutting?

    I ask this question as I need to put on muscle(on limbs especially) however I also want to get rid of my pot belly --- at least not to let it get any bigger.

    Suggestions please.

    If you are just starting to lift, then it is quite possible that you will lose fat while simultaneously gaining muscle. However, it is very hard to cut fat and add muscle mass at the same time. Most likely you are going to have to pick one or the other.

    I usually suggest bulking first because cutting will be easier with more muscle, and therefore a higher metabolism. As well, if you cut first then you stand to gain some of the lost fat back when you start bulking.
    The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

    no i have been lifting for about 18 months I have lost some belly but more of the rest of my body

    hmm ok well post your current diet- perhaps it could use a lil tweaking.
    note the time of meal, what you ate, how much, and when you trained.
    also your current stats.
