Question HELP...Dry out without a Carb up?

So here is my question. I have never tried to tighten up and dry out without carbing up. What are your suggestions on how to approach this?

Cut veggies? with a mild diuretic?

Then what do i eat carbs with protein?

Fat loading works better for me then carbing but will it keep me dry?

    Anyone have any suggestions?

Not really, I've only done it once. I'm sure someone else with more experience could answer that.

The way we do it is:

Week before add extra sodium to meals (keep meals the same as week before)
cut sodium on Wed. night meal.
No sodium Thur/Fri. Keep water intake high (2 gals) until Friday at 6pm, then cut to a sm. amount. Eat eggs up to Fri. am. (if you like eggs for am meal)

Eat two full meals Sat. before going on stage/photoshoot. but keep water down to only 4 oz.

What I did that morning is kinda weird...I had peanut butter cookies and Snackin Cake. Filled me out nicely. or you can do the 4 egg whites with sweet pot., 2 hours later more sweet potato, 1 hour before going on stage or shoot..2 rice cakes with honey and peanut butter.

If you have time, I would do a trial run to be sure things work for you.

The photoshoot is Friday, Saturday and Sunday so i dont want to carb load because i also have a show in 4 weeks. I have salt on everything now, but i just wanted to know if you would cut your veggies along with the salt cut?

    I kept my veggies.

Are you having just green beans? Frozen they do not have alot of sodium in them. 10 per serving or so.

Yup, JLB is on point. I think Raisinettes and a little bit of red wine brings vascularity out very nicely before a shoot, though. Just don't get drunk or nothing.

I'd leave the diet the same as what your eatting now. I did have sirloin steak the Friday night before, filled out nice from it. We didn't pull me off any of my carbs, kept those the same, only messed with the sodium. When you play with too much of it at once, you never know the outcome.

Jodie & J'Bo- I was bad for the first 3 days then I was just so drained I didn't care. The sodium loading scared the shit out of me though. Poor TP I was bitching to him everyday because I was afraid I wasn't going to dry out in time because of holding the water from the sodium. Well, I did and I was dry!

I wouldn't recommend sodium loading...if so make sure you drop it about 48 hrs prior....any earlier and you will rebound.

Jenny...I have a good article I can send you but I'm at work now.

Personally I think you can get VERY VERY dry with high protein, low sodium, keep the greens, and drink about 10 L of water a day until 5pm for a noon photoshott the next day...you'll be tight as shit that way
    Searching for the right balance...

plus the photoshoot is three days so i need lotsa energy and liquids.
i am DESPERATELY trying to get some taraxatone but it doesnt look like its gonna get here in time.
i do a salt load before every comp and it seems to work well because i normally eat tonnes of salt....for the past 2 months.
i am NOT looking forward to the no salt
