    How to eat Flaxseed oil?

    Hi Guys,
Ok, I got my Flaxseed oil.
Any suggestions on what to mix it with?
I'm not much of a yoghurt man, so mixing with that is out.

I used to mix mine in my protein shakes. Cant taste it at all that way. Now I just take fish oil caps.

You can mix it in a can of tuna or make your own salad dressing with it. Personally, I could never really get into using flax oil and just take fish oil caps now.

It tastes nasty, but sometimes its easier to just suck it up and swallow it off the spoon. I rank it up there with fiber. ewwwwwwwww

I found in tuna, as well, that you can't taste it. Other than that, suck it down from the spoon and don't bother ruining your food

1 a day is not enough. At the top of this forum or the link in my signature will take you to the stickies about nutrition. At the bottom of that sticky is a few articles on fish oil. Happy reading

Ok, I think I've done ok mixing it with this pasta meal for tea.
To save it from the heat, I've poured it in at the last minute before
    serving.
That's all good because the pasta usually comes out a bit dry.

I'm on a budget plouffe, and I imagine that caps wouldn't be
the most cost effective way to buy it.

I thought all of my money worries would be over with quitting smoking,
but it costs much more to maintain a user friendly diet than
    a smoking habit.

    flax

I always mix my flax in my breakfast shake which includes strawberries, blueberries, a frozen banana, protein powder, powdered greens and O.J.
You can't even taste the flax. You can mix in different fresh or frozen fruits
and substitute different juices any way you like.

But shouldn't we avoid as much as possible eating fat and carbs together in one meal?

you don't want to eat a high carb meal with a lot of fats. but fats help to stabilize serum glucose levels so a high carb meal with little fats is ok.

Another vote for blending it with a protien shake.

Capsules cost to much so with my shake is the only way to get it down....

olive oil is a monounsaturated fat and contains no Omega fatty acids. Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fats.

...or.. you could just down a tablespoon of the nasty stuff and immediately follow it with a shot of JD..that'll kill the taste and give you a nice warm feeling

you spend more money now than before? i found i spent a lot more money when i wasn't watching my food intake.... cuz i ate out all the time. i guess people tend to eat less when they smoke, since it is an appetite suppressant... but i wouldnt think it would make a huge difference. im surprised to hear you are spending more money now than with the smoking habit.
